This is just a little something I was playing around with in my Printmaking class. This print was made using my hand carved vinyl plate and water soluble ink. After printing I coloured it in with pencils and markers. This was a practice before printing on good paper with oil based ink.

Wow Kylie, I love this! (Well you knew I would, I love the little inset about the post being for me) “Just a little something I was playing around with”… I think you are being a bit modest here. Looking at the print above, it looks like you have done a wonderful job carving the plate, as it is very intricate. What size is it? It also looks like you are enjoying the class, keep it up.
I am so envious of you doing this class and also of your fabulous print.

Hi there Linda,
Thank you. I'm glad you liked the post. The vinyl plate is 17cm x 19.5cm. I'm hoping to create a print tomorrow on rice paper using oil based inks and colouring it with water based inks. I've never done this before so it should be interesting. Once I've done that I think our next project is carving into wood. I can't wait. I'll keep you posted (excuse the pun he he he he).
